Denmark in Spring

Spring is in the air - birds chirping, flowers blooming, and fewer layers to wear. Denmark truly comes to life during this season, with longer days and warming sunshine lifting everyone's spirits. The weather can be unpredictable, ranging from wintry temperatures of around 5.5°C in March to a more summery 15.5°C by May. Rain is common throughout the year, so it’s best to be prepared and embrace the ever-changing skies.

One of the highlights of spring in Denmark is the arrival of cherry blossom season. In Copenhagen, Bispebjerg Kirkegård is a magical spot where tree-lined avenues become tunnels of pink petals. Langelinie Park also celebrates with an annual Sakura Festival, while the Botanical Gardens in the heart of the city provide another peaceful place to admire the blooms. If you’re outside the capital, head to Mindeparken in Aarhus - another beautiful location transformed by the season. Spring in Denmark is picture-perfect and well worth experiencing
